Vantage Point

The Vantage Point condos are the best economical two bedroom rental units at Stratton Mountain. They are located at the end of East Birch Road, in a private cluster close to the Sports Center.

They are all two bedroom two bath units on one level of approximately 1,050 to over 1,100 sq. ft.  They have an entrance area for skis, wood burning fireplaces in cozy living room, a kitchen open to the living room, a washer/drier, small dining area, two bedrooms and two baths.  

Many have a great view of Stratton Mountain.  The nicest one we have for rent has a private outside hot tub. 

They are a quick shuttle route to the slope.  These are great units for families of four to six.  At $400 to $600 per night (and lower on weekdays), they are priced the most reasonible of the Sports Center area rental units.

Vantage Point 2009 Updates

The Vantage Point condos are continuously getting nicer.  They have had a new facelift in 2007 / 2008. They are now managed by TPW and have a total exterior residing.

There are 60 condos in this complex located in three buildings.  Within each building, there are several private entrances.  A Vantage Point condo can be located on the ground floor, which is down several steps; on the second floor, which is up several steps, or the top floor, up 1 1/2 floors worth of steps.   Many owners prefer the top or ground floor.  Many renters prefer the second floor. 

The units face South to the Stratton slopes, with many having good views of the trails.  The Vantage Points have a great winter weekend shuttle to the slope. 

One day while I was trying to take pictures on a Sunday afternoon, two shuttle buses came over to me and tried to take me to the slope. 

In the summer (but only the summer because you have to cross a brook) in is a pleasant walk to the Stratton Village.  In the winter, it is a shuttle or short quarter mile drive to the base lodge.
