Rising Bear Lodge, on the Stratton Mountain Commons

Rising Bear is a new condo development at Stratton Mountain.  Lodging was first available for rent in the winter of 2004 / 2005.

There are 38 condos in this complex, ranging from two to four bedroom units, plus lofts.  They are 1,000 to 2,400 sq. ft. and have 2 to 4 baths.  All are beautifully appointed with large granite kitchens open kitchens, top of the line black GE appliances, and gas fireplaces.  There is a washer and dryer located in each unit.  They have airconditioning for warm summer nights.

The entrance area Hearth room is a great place for relaxing with friends by the fire and watching the activity on the commons.  There are two private hot tubs, a heated swimming pool and an outdoor cedar sauna for these units.  They are in demand and weekend rental rates are high, ranging from $700 to $1,500 per night.  For Rising Bear lodging information or reservations, please Contact Us.

Rising Bear Location

The Rising Bear condos are ideally located behind the Stratton Chapel of the Snows.  They are on the Stratton Village Commons amd either have a Commons view or valley view.  The entrance to the garage is a left off the access road and is shared with the Long Trail House.  It is right before the yellow Long Trail buildings.

It is an easy walk for adults to get to the Stratton Village.  The only problem on a windy day is that there are a bunch of steps between the Long Trail Units,  However, in the winter, there is a convient shuttle that stops in the basement and brings you right to the Stratton base lodge.
